It’s been a busy week since I last posted.

I had a full day of meetings, followed by a trip to Seattle Thursday afternoon and all day Friday, getting back late Friday evening. On Saturday I had lunch with my girl posse and Sunday was filled with weekend chores of getting home life back in order after a chaotic week.

The last couple of days at work have been a blur. I took off half a day yesterday for an MRI of my shoulder and my regular [thrice rescheduled] dental check up. But then I wound up working late to make up for being out. Today I’m scrambling to get some of my management team ready for a major presentation.

And tonight is Enbrel night. Thank goodness. I don’t have the major swings I had with Humira and Simponi, but I can certainly tell when the Enbrel is wearing thin.

Next week is my check up with my rheumatologist and it will be interesting to see what she has to say. I have a lot of confidence in her, so I’m anxious to see what her take is on some of my symptoms getting better, but others getting worse. The morning stiffness is awful, but once I get through that, the day to day stuff is pretty tolerable. I don’t whimper when I walk up and down stairs any more, which is a good thing. However, as I’ve mentioned before, the Sjogren’s symptoms are getting worse by the day, and any dry humidity environment (airplanes, hotels) makes it that much worse.

But before then, in three days, I get to travel to Little Rock to see my newest nephew who will be almost 3 weeks old. I’m just hoping these creaky old bones and dry eyes behave themselves on the trip.

Here’s hoping your creaky parts are good to you today as well. Thanks for checking in.
