These are pictures from my total knee replacement (TKR) surgery starting from the hospital to the X-ray from my final doctor appointment.

    Hi Carla …. I had broken my patella and had surgury 3 months ago. I have the exact same incision as you but yours looks really good at the 3 month mark. Mine is still raised and redish looking. Did you use anything special on your scar or did you do
    anything to make it heal so well. If you can please let me know. I am trying to find out if I need to do anything to help my scar heal better

    • Hi Jun: Once the wound has healed, the main thing is to massage the scar. This also helps the scar from “sticking”. I have used Mederma in the past (can’t remember if I used it for my knee), but plain petroleum jelly works just as well to help things heal and reduce the scar. It can take more than a year for the scar to heal completely, so just be patient. Good luck with your recovery!
